Local festival to celebrate National Peach Month
Mifflinville, Pa. — OHF Orchard and Mifflinville Carnival and Parade are hosting a festival with live music and craft vendors next month. The fourth annual Peach Festival runs from Friday, Aug. 9, to Saturday, Aug. 10. at the Mifflinville Carnival Grounds, E. 1st St. in Mifflinville. The carnival grounds will be open on Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On both days, OHF Orchard will have peaches and various other produce to buy. Craft vendors, baked goods, food concessions, and peach-themed items galore! Cash Stolen from Vehicle in West Mahanoy Township near Frackville
The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating a report of cash stolen from a vehicle in West Mahanoy Township. According to Troopers, on Sunday, July 21st, 2024, police investigated a report that some removed 20 $100 Bills, totaling $2,000 from the glovebox a GM Acadia which was unlocked and parked on South Line Street. The theft is believed to have occurred between 8:00pm on Saturday, July 20th, 2024 and 1:00pm, on Sunday, July 21st, 2024.
Pottsville Pizzeria Celebrates 75 Years of Tradition This Saturday
This Saturday, Pottsville Pizzeria will celebrate its 75th anniversary. The pizzeria has been serving the community with its classic pizzas and subs since the summer of 1949. The story of Pottsville Pizzeria began when Mrs. Paparazo and her three sons opened the first pizzeria in the area in the basement of their home at 441 Prospect St. The business quickly grew, leading to a move in September 1953 to a more convenient location at 530 N. Centre St. This relocation allowined for the development and expansion of their product offerings. It was here that the concept of unbaked pizzas for home baking was born, eventually evolving into the famous Packaged and Frozen Pizzas.

Sunflower Festival returns to Muncy
