SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) — The Sharon Historical Society and Buhl Mansion are inviting the public once again to learn more about the Buhl Family and their significance in the Shenango Valley.

The tours at Christmas time were a big hit, but with warmer weather, the entire property will be explored.

“The Buhl’s themselves have been so ingrained in the community,” Sharon Historical Society President Taylor Galaska said. “The name is known by everyone in the Shenango Valley, so I think it has almost like a personal history to it.”

The tour this time will allow an opportunity to see the entirety of the Buhl’s 7-acre property including the gardens.

Those who attend will learn a bit more about Frank and Julia Buhl — who lived in the house back in the late 1800s.

It is a unique opportunity to see how the Buhl’s left a lasting impact in the valley.

“We wanted to honor them because of their philanthropic endeavors and generous gifts to our community, so they were very humble people,” Galaska said.

The tours are next month on certain Thursdays and Sundays.

Tickets are 20 dollars and benefit the historical society.
