SHARON, Pa., (WKBN) – The annual WaterFire Festival returns to the Shenango River and surrounding areas Saturday.

The event begins with an artists’ showcase at 2 p.m. in downtown Sharon where attendees can buy handmade jewelry, pottery, woodwork, paintings, photography and more. There will also be various food vendors.

Activities on the water will feature a Native American blessing of the river followed by the lighting of 55 floating bonfires and live entertainment.

The event runs until 11 p.m.

For those who can’t make it, another WaterFire event is scheduled for September.
