Tulsa Hematologist Only Oklahoman To Receive Cancer Treatment Award
A Tulsa hematologist is the only doctor in the state to have been selected for a prestigious award in the cancer world. Dr. Caleb Scheckel works at Ok Cancer Specialists and Research Institute and he has been to receive this year’s esteemed 40 Under 40 in Cancer award. Deer Creek and Oak Cliff first responders say millage increase is needed to keep up with growth
DEER CREEK, Okla. — First responders in a fast-growing part of the Oklahoma City area said they need more money to keep residents safe. Deer Creek and Oak Cliff have a millage increase on the ballot next month, giving voters the opportunity to approve or deny the proposition on Aug. 7. Without funding, first responders said they won't be able to keep up with the growth.

UPDATE: Power Restored in Bartlesville
UPDATE: As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, PSO is reporting power has been restored to most customers impacted by the outage. The traffic light at Adams Boulevard and Silver Lake Road is still out, as is electric service to some of the businesses in the area. We're told this was a planned outage as crews are working on the transmission line behind Lee Lake Park.
