Pastor Killed In I-55 Wreck
A longtime Water Valley pastor was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on I-55 Monday afternoon. Mississippi Highway Patrol Sgt. Marvin Baird reported Sammy Townes, 63, was a passenger in a 2010 Cadillac hearse heading northbound on the interstate near the Enid exit when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over several times.

(July 22, 2024) – Boater John Anderson of Bay Springs, Mississippi, caught a five-bass limit weighing 10 pounds even Saturday to win the MLF Phoenix Bass Fishing League (BFL) Presented by T-H Marine on Lake Ferguson .
