Reduced speed proposed for part of County Road D near Tilleda
The Shawano County Board of Supervisors is expected to approve a new speed zone for part of County Road D in Tilleda at a meeting July 24. Officials with the Town of Seneca had originally requested a speed reduction from 55 mph to 25 mph on County Road D between Nursery Lane and Hatchery Road. Instead, the county’s highway and parks committee and public safety committee recommended a reduction to 45 mph.

More charges have been filed in relation to last week’s car accident that involved Jason and Tina Prigge. According to the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, the 29-year-old Cecil woman who was behind the wheel of the vehicle that hit the Manitowoc couple appeared in court for her bail hearing on Monday (July 9th).
Man Goes to Prison over Drug Distribution to Wisconsin Tribal Communities
A man who was arrested for suspicion of distribution of drugs to Menominee and Ho-Chunk Tribal Communities in Wisconsin was recently sentenced to more than ten years in prison. The 42-year-old man, identified with the initials C.P., was arrested by law enforcement outside Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg near Wittenberg in Shawano County.
