Lawrence woman sent to hospital after US-40 crash in Shawnee County
SHAWNEE COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) - A Lawrence woman was sent to the hospital after a crash on US-40 in Shawnee County. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Online Crash Logs, around 6:49 a.m. on Friday, July 12, a 2016 Nissan Sentra was eastbound on US-40, approaching SE Green Rd. The driver of the vehicle attempted to turn north onto SE Green Rd. The Nissan Sentra was traveling too fast to make the turn and left the roadway, heading northwest from the intersection. The vehicle struck a concrete culvert, continued northwest and came to a stop in heavy vegetation and small trees.
