    From exotic pets to block parties, here are five things to see in Shawnee this weekend

    Summer activities haven't slowed down yet, and there's plenty to do around the Shawnee area. Here are five things going on this weekend:. Shop for a different type of pet: The HERPShow will be at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee Saturday and Sunday. Visitors will have the chance to purchase exotic reptiles and pets. The show will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children ages 4 and younger. The sale is open to the public and family friendly, and there will be concessions available both days. Tickets are available at the door. Read more

    Stitt’s office: Oklahoma does not plan to offer $100 incentive to get COVID-19 vaccine

    OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt’s office told KOCO 5 that the state does not plan to offer incentives to people who get the COVID-19 vaccine. This is in response to President Joe Biden’s announcement on Thursday. The president urged state and local governments to use funds provided by the coronavirus relief package to incentivize vaccinations by offering $100 to those who get the shots. And he’s also announced that small- and medium-sized businesses will receive reimbursements if they offer employees time off to get family members vaccinated. Read more

    That’s okay Guvna, save that $100 for the coffins and ventilators that the state of Oklahoma will have to purchase. Been driving by the covid test tent at my local Crest foods and the line is 10 cars deep everyday anytime of the day. God help us.

    So guy must have some serious underlying conditions now everyone I know who got hit hard we’re obese and elders at life span age.but I do hope a miracle for your family no one wishes anyone to be here! But today we’re getting info vaccinated are getting covid and passing it. So could of took him sooner. Now I got tested for the 2nd time I’m clean not sick and no I will not add a virus to get a virus to spread a virus but they got my kids injected so they could get back to school now there no school? So I have to stay away from them because you forced and fed them lies!!! But they want to tell you it’s the unvaccinated lie !!
