Fire destroys garage and vehicle, damages attached home in Sheboygan County
Just after 11:30 PM on Friday, July 5, 2024, the Waldo and Cascade Fire Departments were called to a garage fire at 736 Pheasant Run in the village of Waldo. Upon arrival, it was found the fire in the attached garage had spread to the eaves of the attached house. The call was upgraded to a MABAS call, which brings in mutual aid from surrounding community fire departments.

Victim in Sunday’s Two-Vehicle Fatal Crash Identified
One person lost their life and another was hospitalized when the vehicle they were in was struck by another in a rural Sheboygan County accident on Sunday. The 911 call alerting the Sheriff’s Office came in at 1:10 Sunday afternoon, reporting the two-vehicle crash near Highway 67 and County Highway “S” about three miles southwest of Plymouth. Investigators say that a 61-year-old Saukville man and his 12-year-old passenger were eastbound on Highway 67 when a 53-year-old Plymouth man traveling the opposite direction attempted to turn south onto Highway “S” in front of the man’s SUV, causing the collision.
