MASON CITY, Iowa – Embezzling from a Clear Lake business is sending a Mason City woman to prison. Malorie Lynn Hallock, 40, pleaded guilty to first-degree theft. Investigators say she stole more than $123,000 while she worked at Studio 65 in Clear Lake between January and October of 2023.

FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Garner Firefighters Association has received a $2,500 donation from the NEW Cooperative Foundation. A farmer-owner grain, agronomy, energy, and feed cooperative headquartered in Fort Dodge, the NEW Cooperative Foundation says the money is meant to help with education, training, and promoting community goodwill for the Garner Fire Department.

A New Dog Park Will Open in Cedar Rapids This Week
Cedar Rapids will get its third dog park later on this week! The 12th Avenue Dog Park is set to open its gates on Friday, July 19th at 10:30 a.m. Located at 405 12th Avenue SE in the Oak Hill Jackson Neighborhood, the 12th Avenue Dog Park is around a half-acre in size. We’re experiencing a mix of sun and clouds today, with occasional patches of thicker cloud cover through the afternoon and evening.
