Are you struggling to get enough storage space on your iPhone? The problem could be too many resource-intensive apps, too many photos and videos, too many downloaded files — too many of everything on your phone.

The thought of freeing up storage on your phone can be daunting because it seems like a Herculean task. The simple act of going through all of your media files isn’t simple at all, for example — it requires picking and choosing what to keep, and what to delete. If you only have 10 minutes in your day to make a change to your storage space, one place you can place your focus is on preinstalled apps. Deleting those preinstalled apps that come with your phone isn’t going to save a ton of space, it’s true, but every little bit helps. Here are five preinstalled apps you can delete to clear up storage.

    Voice Memos

Voice Memos stores recorded audio files and these can accumulate very fast when you’re using this app. It offers a convenient way to “jot” down reminders that you can listen back to, but it also takes up space. Feel free to delete it if you can live without this app.

    Books

The Books app stores downloaded eBooks and audiobooks. These can take up a lot of storage on your phone. If you rarely use this app or once used it and haven’t looked at the books it stored ever again, delete it.

Music, TV (formerly Videos), and Podcasts

Similar to the Books app, the Music, TV, and Podcasts app store all-consuming media files like music, videos, and podcasts. A better way to enjoy media files is by watching and deleting them — storing them just takes up space.

    Maps

Apple Maps stores cached map data and takes up a ton of storage space. If you prefer another GPS-based maps app, such as Waze or Google Maps, you can delete Apple Maps to save some space.

    Health

The Health app is a polarizing one — those who love it use it often to track their activity, workouts, medical information, and similar. Keep in mind that this data takes up storage, and it you aren’t using the app at all, it’s okay to get rid of it.

These “experts” are idiots. If you use an app, keep it. If you don’t use it, you can delete it.

Before you delete the Health app, consider that it is an important tool for first responders in a medical emergency. If you have entered information about medical conditions, emergency contacts, allergies, and medications that you take this information may be valuable to the first responders in the case of an emergency. The first responder does not need your password in order to get it the information but as I have been told it just needs to press the emergency button on the home screen and the information is available to first responders. Also the ability for them to inform emergency contacts May be essential if you are not able to respond.
