Royal Fans Call Prince Harry 'Disrespectful' After Reports He Won't Be Traveling To The UK For His Uncle's Funeral: 'He Really Hates His Family'

Prince Harry will reportedly not be flying to the U.K. for his uncle Lord Robert Fellowes ‘ funeral – and he is once again blaming it on his security . Or lack thereof!

According to Us Weekly , the Duke of Sussex, 39, who is currently in Colombia with Meghan Markle , 43, to promote their Archewell Foundation’s new online bullying campaign , will not be going to the U.K. for the funeral due to his ongoing security concerns. He reportedly believes that he and his family will be in danger due to their lack of private security that was taken away after he and Meghan stepped down as senior royals in 2020.

Royal Commentator Confirms Prince Harry Will Not Be Attending The Funeral

"Harry will not be attending the funeral of his uncle Robert Fellowes," royal commentator Stephanie Petit confirmed, according to Sky News Australia.

Fellowes was the late Princess Diana's brother-in-law, and was married to her older sister Lady Jane Fellowes. They shared three children together: Laura Jane Fellowes, 44, Alexander Robert Fellowes, 41, and Eleanor Ruth Fellowes, 38. The late aristocrat was also the late Queen Elizabeth II's private secretary from 1990 to 1999.

Netflix fans may recall that he was portrayed in the final two seasons of The Crown by actor Andrew Havill. News of Fellowes' passing broke on July 31st, with reports claiming that he died two days prior at the age of 82 following "undisclosed causes."

As expected, Prince Harry's decision to skip the funeral didn't go down well on social media. Commenting on an Us Weekly Instagram post, one royal fan wrote: "He really hates his family. He and Meghan better stay together forever for he will never repair the damage with his family."

"Because his wife didn't give him permission and they are too busy selling their souls for more money," slammed a second fan. A third fan echoed this, adding, "Ahhh the wifey won't let him go," followed by four crying laughing emojis. "Not surprised at all!" exclaimed a fourth, as a fifth said it was "disrespectful" to not attend the funeral.
