An additional fan gushed: "It’s been on repeat ALL DAY! Amazing work and production and video!"

In a news release regarding their recent project, Johnson said, regarding the "Before He Cheats" artist: "From the moment I heard this song, I heard Carrie’s voice on it. It was a non-negotiable for me; either we sing it together, or I wouldn’t sing it at all. It’s that special to me."

The "Dirt Cheap" singer went on: "Working with Carrie has been an absolute pleasure. She’s not only one hell of a singer, but she’s a class act all the way around."

As for the " Denim & Rhinestones" songstress , she added, referencing Johnson: "From the time I first heard his voice, I knew Cody had something special."

As reported by Parade , the two musicians met for the first time backstage at the 2022 CMT Music Awards. The outlet also noted that in a chat with Underwood, although Johnson is "around the same age" as Underwood, he said he "always grew up listening to" her music.

Johnson also said: "they say don’t meet your heroes because you might get disappointed, and I was not disappointed. It’s a breath of fresh air to meet someone that fame hasn’t affected and that is really staying grounded." (Aww!)

"I'm Gonna Love You" will be featured on Johnson's deluxe Leather album, out November 1st.
