Jessica Simpson didn't let motherhood and family life take away from her successful career, rather, she's been focusing on her music . A source explained that in 2023, "Jessica relocated to Nashville to work on new music while Eric mostly stayed in L.A. with the kids. They went into it with a plan, but as time went on, it created a lot of tension."

"Eric felt abandoned," the source continued, "while Jess felt she wasn't asking too much, and neither saw the other's point of view."

It also seems they're having financial troubles. In 2022, Jessica finalized a deal to buy back her namesake brand, emptying her stock portfolio and using their home as collateral for a loan to do so.
