Cate Blanchett Brings Her 20-Year-Old Son As Her Date To The Albies As She Stuns In An Asymmetrical Top And Leather Pants

Cate Blanchett made the 2024 Albie Awards a family affair!

The Borderlands actress brought her rarely-seen son, 20-year-old Roman, as her date to the Clooney’s charitable foundation ceremony.

As usual, Blanchett pretty much stole the show in an all-black ensemble. The I Am Not There alum wore a sparkly poncho-style asymmetrical top that featured gold circular embellishments on one side of the shoulders. She paired the chic top with sleek leather pants that were perfectly tailored for her long legs.

Shiny pumps and a square handbag were her finishing pieces for her stylish ensemble. She rocked her lucious blonde locks in a neat bob and wore a soft pink lip and smokey eyeshadow for glam.

Her son kept it classy in a black suit, a navy blue tie, and a light blue pin secured on the left side of his jacket.

The duo were all smiles as they posed for photos on the red carpet.

Fans gushed over the sweet mother-son moment on Instagram: "So cute mother and son," commented one fan, as another person wrote, "He looks like Dad!"

This year's Albie Awards were packed with A-listers. Beside the hosts, George and Amal Clooney , other stars that showed up to the event included Emily Blunt, her husband John Krasinski, Shailene Woodley, Jimmy Fallon, and more.

The ceremony was held at the New York Public Library and hopes to “shine a protective spotlight on courageous justice defenders who are at risk, sending a message to those who abuse human rights that the world is watching."

Cate is the mother of four children, Dashiell, 22, Roman, 20, and Ignatius, 16, and a daughter, Edith, 9. She shares her four kids with husband Andrew Upton.
