The former duo is “not speaking to one another” and “it’s really slowing down their divorce.” The media outlet is describing their relationship as “icy” at this point, and they can’t even communicate by phone. They will be honoring the prenuptial agreement they signed ahead of their 2022 marriage and there’s only one joint asset to worry about: their $61 million Beverly Hills estate .

Despite the Daily Mail ‘s insistence that the divorce papers are drawn up and they are waiting for the perfect time to file, TMZ claimed that their business managers are tying up loose ends — and then they bring in the lawyers. However, the fact that Lopez and Affleck are giving each other the silent treatment does not help matters. Until that aspect of their relationship thaws out, there is no divorce.

Insiders close to Lopez divulged that she was hoping for more communication, and a possible reconciliation , with her ex. “It’s just depressing that Ben couldn’t find the time or inclination to be there and support Jennifer,” a source shared with I n Touch Weekly . “She would have welcomed it.” From Affleck’s perspective, he appeared to be done with the marriage after their initial split in March.

Affleck’s pals pulled no punches when they described where The Town star was with Lopez back in May. “If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” a friend told Page Six. “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.” The former dynamic duo seems to be on the same page that the relationship is done, but the rift is so emotional right now that they can’t even come to terms with their divorce — it’s not a happy Bennifer ending.
