So, Prince William just made a major decision that includes Prince George and Prince Louis ’ godfathers.

For those who don’t know, the Wales kids have a combined 18 godparents, all of whom are close pals or related to Kate and William, per Harper’s Bazaar . Within these 18 godparents, there are two that are now on the royal payroll, despite royal cutbacks, Charles’ goal of making a smaller monarchy, and William letting go of Queen Camila’s sister from the payroll. George’s godfather William van Cutsem, and Louis’ godfather Harry Aubrey-Fletcher are now on the royal payroll.

George’s godfather William van Cutsem is William’s childhood friend, and Louis’ godfather Harry Aubrey-Fletcher is another one of William’s friends, one that he has been close with for years after both of them attended Eton College.

An insider claimed to Mirror that both Cutsem and Aubrey-Fletcher work for the Prince now, working for the Duchy estate.

Aubrey-Fletcher is reportedly set to oversee “a group of rural businesses across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and West Sussex,” while Custem will be a “chartered surveyor focusing on commercial property,” per the same outlet.

Last thing we could find was that Aubrey-Fletcher is a co-founder of Carden Group, which is a development company based in the UK; and Cutsem has an extensive background as a chartered surveyor. So they’re both perfect for the role, but one question many have is: are they close with their godkids?

We’re not sure, but since they got hired for William, we’re sure they’ll be around the family even more.

For those who don’t know, William and Kate Middleton have been together on and off since 2003. Since their nuptials in 2011, they have welcomed three children named George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Louis , 6.
