Who doesn’t love to graze at a charcuterie board during a party? Nothing goes with wine quite like cheese, cured meats, and crackers, and for the most part, these cheese boards are easy to make on a budget. But some charcuterie boards are making quite the statement on social media because they’re just so massive — like, they span an entire countertop — and people have been wondering just how much something like this costs. Finally, we have our answer thanks to TikTok.

Lauren, the owner of the charcuterie board business Lover Boards ( @loverboards on TikTok), gave her followers a peek into what goes into creating one of these insanely gorgeous charcuterie spreads, and how much people can expect to pay for them.

“I charged $1,700 for this setup and no, that does not include that floral arrangement in the center,” Lauren said in a recent TikTok video.

She explained that there were two parts to creating this spread — a four-foot-long fruit grazing table that included watermelon, peaches, nectarines, grapes, and more seasonal items, and an eight-foot-long cheese and meats spread, which alone cost $1,100.

The host was expecting about 100 people at this party, so that means they spent about $17 per person on these two setups. Both spreads were crafted on the center kitchen island and Lauren used wax paper underneath, giving the spreads a seamless look.

And for that much food, people in the comments noted that $1,700 is honestly pretty reasonable. “Mannnnn, cheese is EXPENSIVE,” one person wrote, adding, “This price was AMAZING.”

Another person said, “$1,700 seems so inexpensive for how much food it is!” Someone else just wrote, “WORTH IT.”

Of course, the $1,700 price point will be subjective depending on everyone’s budget, and this is just one charcuterie board business owner’s pricing. But for all that delicious food (and cheese upon cheese upon cheese)…it actually does seem fairly reasonable.

Would you spend nearly $2,000 on a massive charcuterie board? And the real question — would you end up eating the entire thing before your guests arrive?
