Ireland Baldwin’s Daughter Holland Met Her Aunts & Uncles in Cute New Photos & Everyone Has the Same Question

Ireland Baldwin’s daughter Holland reached a big milestone last weekend: she met many of her aunts and uncles for the first time! Ireland, who is the daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, shared pictures and videos of her 14-month-old meeting Alec and his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s seven kids, many of whom are the same age as Holland. The pictures were so cute, but they sparked one major question from fans.

“Holland finally met her aunts and uncles 😂 @hilariabaldwin ,” Ireland captioned the post on Instagram . Eight kids sit on the couch together in the first photo, many of them smiling as they meet little Holland. The toddler sits in the middle wearing a floral dress, as her aunts and uncles Carmen, 10, Rafael, 8, Leonardo, 7, Romeo, 5, Eduardo, 3, Maria, 3, and Ilaria, 19 months, sit on both sides of her. Honestly, the fact that they got all kids to sit still together for the picture is impressive!

The second picture features Holland smiling next to her aunt Ilaria, who is only 5 months older. The two baby girls look more like siblings than aunt and niece, with Ilaria looking adorable in horse pajamas and little slippers.

Ireland also included two videos in the post, including one of the adults trying to get the kids to say things like “Mommy” and smile for the photo, and one of Holland and Ilaria holding hands and playing together. It looks like the first meeting went well! But fans couldn’t help but ask one main question: why did it take 14 months for these kids to meet each other?

“Why is she just now meeting your siblings? That’s weird. Your child is a year old,” one person judgily wrote. Another commented, “i was thinking the same .. those are ireland’s siblings, Holland’s aunts & uncles and she just met/seen them at 1 yr old ? Very cute family tho 🙂 they all seem happy :)”

“What took so long to meet them??” someone else asked.

The reasoning behind the late meeting between Holland and her aunts and uncles could simply be geography. After all, Alec, Hilaria, and their seven kids live in New York, while Ireland, her partner RAC (born André Anjos), and their daughter live in Gearhart, Oregon.

In a now-deleted Jan. 2023 Instagram post, the former model hinted toward some complicated family relationships. “I grew up with a very jaded perception of what love really looked like and I always wanted to have a child of my own with someone who would treat us right and love us unconditionally,” she wrote, per Glamour. “It’s hard not being really close to family to begin with because they live far or are idiots that I want nothing to do with.”

However, things seem to be going well between Ireland and her dad lately. When the Rust actor’s involuntary manslaughter trial was dismissed in July, Ireland shared a childhood photo of her sitting on her dad’s lap and listening to his heartbeat with a stethoscope. “♥️,” she captioned the sweet photo .

And in May, Ireland and Holland hung out with Alec at the Museum of Ice Cream. “Torturing granddaddy pop pop peepaw (it’s a working title) by forcing him and Andre to go to the museum of ice cream 😂,” she captioned the adorable generational post .

It may be a little strange growing up with aunts and uncles not much older than you, but one thing’s for sure: Holland will always be surrounded by love!
