I hate to break this to you but double cleansing should be non-negotiable in your routine. Although annoying at times, the act of it can really give your skin the deep clean it deserves, especially after a long day of sunscreen, makeup, and outside pollutants. Out of the Duo, the Cleansing Balm is my absolute favorite. Everything about it is excellent from the packaging to its scent down to its performance. Unlike most facial balms that are only available in screw-top jars, this one comes in a sleek squeeze bottle which I seriously appreciate. There’s no scooping out product and potentially making a sticky, greasy mess. Aside from functionality, it smells divine. It’s formulated with a combination of macadamia oil, chamomile, and shea butter, which bring out the most calming, earthy scent. Every time I use it, I feel like I’m receiving a high-end aromatherapy facial that just melts off all the makeup and gunk from the day to set me up for a proper cleanse.

Which brings me to Saya’s Cleansing Gel . Like the balm, this face wash also smells heavenly and makes taking care of my skin feel like such a luxurious experience. It’s also made with chamomile but has Kakadu plum, which has high levels of vitamin C, and aloe vera, that’s hydrating and rich in antioxidants, and has superb anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated skin. While the Cleansing Gel’s consistency is similar to other gel cleansers, its performance is unmatched. Unlike other face washes that have water as their first ingredient, this one has aloe vera juice. Its effectiveness is top-tier compared to other cleansers I’ve tried.

I typically have semi-sensitive combination skin, and every now and then, specific gel cleansers break me out and make my skin feel tight. After using this for close to 10 days now, I haven’t received a breakout, and my face feels hydrated after drying. But I think the Cleansing Gel is as effective thanks to the Cleansing Balm . The balm really creates the perfect canvas for a deep clean. Of course, you could always use one without the other, but I think they’re ideal for each other, like peanut butter and jelly.
