Toddlers are a ball of energy, whether they’re at a playground or on a crocodile research trip. OK, most toddlers don’t get to help a zoo study crocodiles, but Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace Warrior does. The 3-year-old recently joined her parents Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell, her uncle Robert Irwin, and her grandma Terri Irwin on a research trip — and she was a little spark of pure happiness in an adorable new video.

The Australia Zoo CEO shared the cutest video of Grace laughing and twirling with her family and the zoo crew on the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve. It begins with Grace looking bright as the summer sky in a blue sundress and matching bucket hat. “It’s a dance class party!” Grace exclaims in the video, dancing and spinning around outside.

Bindi laughs and encourages her daughter to show off her dance skills, including toe point and balancing. “Ohh, beauty!” she says, as the toddler shows off her moves. Such a cutie! Later, Grace joins the team as they take thank you photos for the sponsors of the trip. Everyone is dressed in khaki and holding up a #CrocTrip sign. Grace jumps and claps, helpfully holding up snacks and other products from the sponsors.

At one point, Robert brags about how smart his niece is. “I asked her what the letters were, and she said, ‘O C,’” Robert says, referencing how Grace recognized some of the letters in “Croc.” “She knows it — it’s amazing!” he gushed. Throughout all the photos, she laughs and shouts “Crikey!” just full of enthusiasm and happiness for every little thing. (I can barely get my toddler to look at me for a picture, so this is super impressive!)

“Grace *had* to be involved with all our Croc Research ‘thank you’ photos. And I *had* to share it with you because … look at her HAPPINESS! Oh my goodness,” Bindi captioned the cute video. “I love that she’s running the show with our amazing team here on the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve. Thank you to our incredible sponsors who help us keep this important conservation work going and thank you, Grace, for lighting up our world with your sweet heart. ❤️”

“Her ‘HA HA’ gets me every time😂,” Powell commented, referencing one of the cutest moments in the video. Someone else wrote, “Oh wow, this absolutely made my day. She’s the most precious thing, I love her enthusiasm. Takes after all you guys. Keep up the good work with your research.”

Bindi also shared the video on her Instagram story , writing, “I think this might be one of my favourite Grace videos of all time. 🤍”

For the past few weeks, the Irwins have been at the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve to continue the legacy the late Steve Irwin started. “Our annual crocodile research trip has begun, up here in Cape York on our Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve,” Robert wrote on Instagram . “Every year we make the journey up to the Wenlock River for the month of August. In partnership with the University of Queensland we utilise methods my dad devised to catch crocs, and couple that with cutting edge telemetry technology to discover more about these illusive animals in the wild. The goal is to uncover their secret world and find out how to better protect them.”

Terri shared a picture of Grace “helping” earlier this month. “Grace has decided to tag and track a ‘wild kookaburra’ as part of the project!” she captioned a photo of Grace pretending to track a kookaburra toy. “Well done Dr. Grace!”

Last year, Grace hung out reading books with her mom while her dad and uncle wrestled a croc to check if it had already been tagged. “Watch carefully. You’re going to have to do this one day,” Terri coaches her granddaughter in a cute video . Luckily, Grace seems utterly unfazed by the crocodiles hanging out all around her. It’s clear she’s going to be great at it when she gets old enough!
