Kaavia James’ New Picture With Dad Dwyane Wade Is Making Us Emotional: ‘Best Place on Earth’

Kaavia James is enjoying France with her family, but even the City of Lights couldn’t distract her from what is really important in life: hugs from her dad Dwyane Wade. The former NBA All-Star and his wife Gabrielle Union have been in Paris for the Olympics, where Wade served as a men’s basketball analyst for NBC. But now that the Summer Games are over, the trio went boating, and the photos are so sweet we can’t help but tear up.

“Still the best place on earth ♥️,” the post , shared to Kaavia’s own Instagram account (run by her parents, of course), was captioned. It was location-tagged in France, but Kaavia wasn’t talking about the country. No, the “best place” 5-year-old Kaav was referring to was right in her dad’s arms, which is where she is in the first photo. She gives her dad a huge bear hug as he sits on the side of the boat looking out at the water, and the love is warming our hearts right through the screen.

While on vacation, Kaavia showed off her fearless side jumping off the side of the boat into the sea! There’s also a picture of a tired Kaavia wrapped in a towel and sleeping with her mom on the boat, as the wind blows through Union’s hair; a picture of Kaavia giving her classic Shady Baby side eye; and photos of Kaavia and her friend going on a hike together.

“Awwwww! Daddy’s little girl!❤️❤️” one person wrote. Another joked, “Who brought onions into the chat ❤️.”

Earlier this month, Wade shared videos of him and Kaavia watching the Olympics. “So Daddy and Kaavia are coming to you live from Paris at halftime of the gold medal game,” he said in a video on his Instagram story, per PEOPLE . The duo were all smiles next to each other as they watched Team USA take home their fifth-straight Olympic gold medal in basketball.

The Bring It On alum also shared photos from Paris , including one with a sleepy Kaavia curled up on her mom’s lap dressed in red-white-and-blue Ralph Lauren ‘fits. “when y’all see her you see me… #us 💁🏾‍♀️,” Union captioned the post.

It looks like Kaavia has had a perfect summer with her parents!
