Why Ben Affleck Reportedly ‘Didn’t Leave the House at All’ During His Family-Oriented 52nd Birthday Celebration

Ben Affleck didn’t want to make a big deal of his birthday. So instead of paying a bunch for a lavish party, Affleck had a relaxing day in with his kids, and a visit by two of his exes.

A close source to the family told People that Affleck’s small celebration on Aug 15 with his kids was “exactly what he wanted.”

They said, “He didn’t want to go out to celebrate. The kids had gifts for him, and it was cute. Jennifer [Lopez] stopped by to congratulate him .” (And his ex-wife Jennifer Garner was at his home too, hours beforehand!)

“The kids were with Ben for most of the day. He didn’t leave the house at all for his birthday,” the source added.

Now, this is great to hear, considering sources also told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month that Affleck bought his $20.5 million dollar estate to be closer to his kids and make “his family a priority.”

It’s unclear what his kids got him, but this type of celebration shows he wanted everything out of the public eye, and to be at home with his three children. (We’re sure a day at home was nice compared to paparazzi following him all the time; so it makes sense he didn’t leave his home for his birthday!)

For those who don’t know, Garner and Affleck welcomed three children, with whom Lopez has become the stepmother to. Their kids are named Violet , born on Dec 2005, Seraphina born on Jan 2009, 15, and Samuel, born on Feb 2012.
