Lindsay Lohan Reveals the Heartwarming Reason She’d Love To Do a ‘Freaky Friday’ Swap With Baby Luai

If Freaky Friday is to be believed, then switching bodies with your mom is the ultimate cringe. But walking in your kid ’s shoes for a day? That might be pretty awesome! Lindsay Lohan revealed that she would swap places with her 1-year-old son Luai if given the chance — and the heartwarming reason why will make you feel emotional.

In a new interview with PEOPLE , Lohan and her Freaky Friday (and Freakier Friday !) co-star Jamie Lee Curtis were asked who they would switch places with if they could. “Maybe my baby,” Lohan answered with a laugh, prompting Curtis to comment, “Ooh, such a good answer.”

The Mean Girls alum explained, “Just to see. Because he is so pure, and he’s just so happy. And just to see life through his eyes just every day. He’s just this beautiful bundle of joy.” That is so sweet! Swapping lives with my baby probably wouldn’t have even popped into my head, but now it’s the only thing I want to do. For now, we’ll just have to soak up the moments we get to experience things with our children for the first time and see the world through their eyes.

Lohan, who shares Luai with husband Bader Shammas, has kept her son out of the private eye so far, but she has shared glimpses of life as a mom. In a March 2024 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show , she revealed that her baby has already started watching her movies.

“I just wrapped a movie four days ago and I came home from work and my son was getting ready for dinner time. And I opened the door and he was watching The Parent Trap . It was just on the TV,” she told host Drew Barrymore. “And I started crying because I’m like, he doesn’t even know that’s mummy yet. I was like, do I turn it off or do I just… he was kind of just staring. Because maybe, my voice is still similar to how it was then. So I was like, maybe he knows, like a little bit that it’s me because it sounds like me.”

“But it was a really magical moment. I took tons of pictures of it,” she added.
