Drew Scott Reveals the Clever & Creative Preschool Alternative He Uses for Son Parker

It’s hard to believe that Drew Scott and Linda Phan’s son, Parker, is already at the age where he can go to preschool. We remember his birth announcement like it was yesterday, and now, he’s in preschool. Sort of.

The Back-to-School Checklist Every Parent Needs

On Drew and Jonathan’s site, he and his brother Jonathan Scott did a blog post called “ Drew and Jonathan’s Back-to-School Tips for a Chaos-Free Fall ,” where they told writer Megan Stein about their back-to-school tips and tricks (which Drew reshared on his Instagram stories on Aug 20, 2024).

Amid his back-to-school tips, Drew revealed quite a bit about his and Phan’s son Parker, including how they opted for this type of schooling rather than pre-school. (And it’s quite clever!)

“Instead of sending Parker to preschool , we created a portable classroom with some of Parker’s friends, and were able to recreate the same fun activities,” he said. “Music has been a joy for Parker, as well as building. Oh, and dance! Parker loves to dance .”

Isn’t that so cool?

His other tips included “find educational shows and toys they actually enjoy,” “find what works for your bedtime routine,” and more. But it’s so cool to hear how they’re handling schooling for their growing son!

For those who don’t know, Scott and Linda Phan met at a Toronto Fashion Week event in 2010, hitting it off soon after. They later married in 2018.

After 12 years together, they welcomed their son Parker James, born in May 2022, specifically on their fourth wedding anniversary. In early 2024, they announced they were expecting another baby , and on June 5, 2024, they welcomed their daughter Piper Rae .

Now, it’s not super shocking that Parker is already a mini-me of his papa. In a previous interview on The TODAY Show With Hoda & Jenna , Scott said, “Parker is amazing. He’s a sweetheart. He’s now walking. Running. So I’m getting my steps in chasing him down. He copies everything . So if I’m like ‘ugh,’ then you just hear a little, ‘ugh.’”
