After months of wondering, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially heading for divorce. Lopez officially filed yesterday, and many have wondered, “How is their blended family doing?”

Insiders have claimed for weeks that their kids are quite broken up about it, with Affleck’s eldest, Violet Affleck, allegedly wearing Lopez’s dress as a statement . However, sources claim it’s the opposite: everyone is allegedly ready to move on.

“His kids are taking it fine as are hers,” the source said to Page Six . “Everybody is ready to move on.”

They’ve all built a close bond, and their kids have grown extremely close, including Ben’s middle child Seraphina and Lopez’s child Emme. However, sources are now saying that after weeks of speculation, it seems their kids may be ready for the next chapter of their lives, both individually and as a family.

For those who don’t know, Garner and Affleck welcomed three children, and Lopez was their stepmother. Their kids are named Violet , born on Dec 2005, Seraphina born on Jan 2009, 15, and Samuel, born on Feb 2012.

Lopez is the mother to twins Emme and Max, born in Feb 2008, with whom she welcomed with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Lopez and Affleck fell in love on the set of the film Gigli . They appeared in a couple more projects together, and got engaged by the end of 2002, per People . In 2003, they postponed their wedding and then broke up days before, due to the paparazzi and pressure they faced, and were broken up by 2004.

Fast forward to 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony .

After months of speculation, per TMZ , Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20, noting the date of separation is April 26, 2024.
