Richard Gere & Wife Alejandra Silva’s Post Gave Rare Details About Their Actual Relationship Timeline

Richard Gere and his wife Alejandra Silva reminded everyone that they’re a seriously chic, seriously in-love couple, and one of her two recent posts gave fans a glimpse into when their relationship started.

On Aug 30, Silva shared a series of photos of her and Gere at Venice for the 81st Venice Film Festival . She shared the photos with the caption reading, “Cartier Dinner ✨#venice. Dress: @isabelsanchiscostura/ Accessories: @aquazzura/ Jewelry: @cartier/ Styled by: @cristinareyesro.”

In the first photo, we see Silva and Gere looking oh-so stunning as they twin in black looks, with Silva looking like a goddess in a flowing Isabel Sanchis gown. Then, we get a snapshot of Silva sitting among the candles, which Gere presumably took. Truly, what an enchanting photoshoot!

This comes a day before Silva’s touching tribute to Gere for his birthday. On Aug 31, she posted a photo to Instagram with the caption reading, “Happy Birthday to the love of my life! After 11 amazing years together, it still feels like the day we first met. The journey we’ve shared, the beautiful family we’ve built, and the memories we’ve created are more than I could have ever dreamed of. You make my life better in every way, and I’m so grateful to have you by my side. Here’s to many more years of love, laughter, and happiness together. With all my love, Ale.”

For those who don’t know, Gere and Silva were pals for literal years before they got together in 2015 (but now, this post reveals it actually started around 2013). They were first linked in the summer of 2015, and three years later, they married in a quiet ceremony.

In Feb. 2019, they welcomed their first child together, a son named Alexander, and in April 2020, they welcomed another son together , whose name they haven’t disclosed. (Gere welcomed a son in 2000, named Homer, with his second wife Carey Lowell.)
