Walgreens Dropped a Premium Skincare Line Filled With Affordable Dupes for Viral Laneige, Glow Recipe & Sol de Janeiro

Move over, Sephora — Walgreens is entering the skincare chat . Today, the major drugstore launched a skincare line that can potentially compete with some of your favorite (and more expensive) products. The new premium line features everything you’d need to create a luxe facial routine for almost half the price of what the branded products would cost. And considering there’s a Walgreens at virtually every other corner in this country, this new collection isn’t only affordable, it’s super accessible.
We love a good dupe as much as the next person, so we’re excited to see how the new line holds up. These products can compete with Laneige , Glow Recipe , Sol de Janeiro , Youth to the People and many more. Plus, these new gems are made with no sulfates, parabens, or phthalates. As a beauty writer who uses and buys most products regularly, I’m eager to get my hands on them. It’s good to know that I can find a comparable product that’ll work just as well (if not better) down the street versus having to make my way to Sephora.
Below, look at some of the standout products we’re itching to try and how they compare to the original.
Youth to the People’s Superfood Cleanser has been a consistent product in my routine for over two years. While it takes me a while to get through eight ounces, one bottle still costs $39, which is very expensive for face wash. Both of these products are made with kale, green tea, spinach, and aloe, but only one costs $11 .
These new products just hit the market, and Walgreens’ lip mask already has a five-star rating. Both shoppers have concluded that the drugstore’s Hydrating Lip Mask could be better than Laneige . “Works just as well as Laneige,” one shopper wrote. “I think the smell and taste are even better! And you simply can’t beat this price.” While the other questioned, “Dare I say… [It’s] better than the original.” And at $10 for one, it’s worth the buy to find out.
This might be the best steal out of all the products here. Sol de Janeiro’s iconic Brazilian Bum Bum cream has been a coveted body product since its launch, but at close to $50 a pop, shoppers have wondered if it’s really worth it. One shopper already called the Walgreens Firming Cream an “amazing dupe.” They said, “The scent lasts all day but isn’t overpowering, and it’s very moisturizing.”
