If your fridge is bursting at the seams with leftovers, then you’re probably trying to think outside the box to create a meal that makes good use of them. No need to break your brain — Giada De Laurentiis and the team at Giadzy have done the hard work for you. They created a “Kitchen Sink” baked pasta recipe that can be customized to fit your leftovers, and no matter what you have in your fridge, this pasta is going to taste absolutely delicious!

“We love a pasta that can transform leftovers into a comforting, satisfying meal,” the caption of a recent Giadzy post reads. “This Kitchen Sink Baked Pasta uses all the odds and ends in your pantry – including those extra Giadzy Pasta shapes that just aren’t enough for a full meal – plus anything else you have on hand in the fridge.”

You first want to saute a bit of sausage with some onion (you could even use bacon leftover from your weekend breakfast) and add in your vegetable of choice — broccoli, peas, cauliflower, or any roasted veggies lurking in Tupperware.

While your meat and veggies are cooking, mix together a sauce using whatever red sauce you have on hand and ricotta, mozzarella, or any cheese that melts nicely, as well as a bit of grated Parmesan.

Cook up any pasta shapes you have, or cook up the remaining bits and bobs you have at the bottom of several pasta boxes, and toss the cooked pasta into the sauce. Add your veggies and meat mixture, too.

Throw that mixture into a baking dish and top with a bit of breadcrumbs (you can make your own with stale crackers and a bit of melted butter if you want!) and extra shredded cheese, and then bake the entire thing for about 25 minutes. You’ll be left with one of the best leftover-based dinners you’ve ever had!

Grab the full recipe from Giadzy right here to keep on hand every time you need to clean out your fridge or pantry. It’s comfort food (and crafty food!) at its finest.
