Kendall Jenner Was Inspired by Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy With This Drastic Hair Transformation

Another Kardashian star has made a huge hair transformation, and this time, for the blonder. In case you missed it, it’s been the buzz of the town: Kendall Jenner is officially a blonde now.

On Sept 11, Jenner shared a series of photos showing off her gorgeous blonde hair transformation . She shared the photos with the caption reading, “blonded.”

In the photos, we see Jenner looking incredible as she rocks a series of 1990s-inspired looks, consisting of her in a black headband, donning a claw-clip updo, rocking a leather blazer and jeans, and more. So, why the sudden change?

Well, speaking with colorist Jenna Perry, she told Vogue : “It took me two days to take her this gorgeous shade of golden blonde,” Perry says. “She is really inspired by the ’90s and Caroline Bessette -Kennedy right now.”

This makes sense, the color is almost an exact match to the iconic Bessette, but during the time she was married to JFK Jr. Before marrying him, she had a more dirty blonde look, but per Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy , Bessette actually lightened her hair when she got married.

“I think it took her a while to get comfortable. I think she very much did not want to disappoint John,” author Elizabeth Beller said. “She kind of felt like, ‘Oh, I’m not good, let me see what way I can try to be, you know, more like what Americans think a Kennedy should be.”

But, this isn’t the only time we’ve seen her change up her hair .

At the 2022 Prada show at Milan Fashion Week, she debuted her orange hair. Back in 2019 at the Burberry Spring/Summer 2020 fashion show, she debuted a cool-toned blonde, and who could forget her redhead phase in 2022?
