Experts Reveal How Prince Harry Is Ensuring a Trauma-Free Childhood for Prince Archie & Princess Lilibet

To say Prince Harry had a traumatic childhood would be an understatement. Between the pressures of royalty, being under the public eye for everything, and the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana, it’s no wonder he’s reportedly working hard to keep a trauma-free childhood for his and Meghan Markle’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet .

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond recently spoke with OK via Express , talking about how Harry is parenting his two children.

“I think he finds the security and anchor in his little family that was sadly missing in his own broken childhood home,” she said. “I think he is relishing his role as a parent and playing the fullest part he can in the lives of his two tots.”

Because of his own childhood, Bond added that Harry has become “determined” to give his children “the perfect upbringing,” i.e. no trauma or drama from the royal side of the family. This all makes sense when you remember the Sussex family lives in Montecito , Calif, and don’t often go to the UK, nor do they share many pics of their kids and have so much security at their mansion .

For those who don’t know, Harry and Meghan started dating in 2016, and by April 2018, they were married in a beautiful royal ceremony.

They share two children together named Archie, born in May 2019, and Lilibet Diana, born in June 2021.

Meghan said in the couple’s controversial Netflix docuseries that they work hard to ensure their kids’ privacy. “We’ve been really conscious of protecting our kids as best as we can and also understanding the role that they play in this really historic family,” she said.

“As a dad and as parents, I think consent is a really key piece to this,” Harry added. “That if you have children, it should be your consent to what you share.”
