Nikki Garcia Reportedly Made a Decision About Her Next Chapter Amid Artem Chigvintsev Divorce

Nikki Garcia filed for divorce from Artem Chigvintsev on Sept. 11, and it sounds like there is no reconciliation on the horizon for her. The former Dancing With the Stars pro was arrested on Aug. 29 on domestic violence charges after an incident at their Napa, Calif. home.

“There’s no going back,” an insider told Life & Style . “Nikki doesn’t even recognize Artem as the man she married.” Describing their relations as “volatile,” the source also noted that “a lot of people, she found his, at times, controlling behavior troubling.” Her sister, Brie Garcia, was reportedly “ disgusted, shocked, disappointed , and just sad that this happened” and was “very concerned about it all and is there for her sister at all costs,” according to the Daily Mail.

Brie reportedly was supportive of any move Nikki made, but her overall safety was the top priority. “Brie, who is obviously the closest to Nikki, as anyone would, is telling her to leave Artem, if this is as bad as it seems, and if it happened before, once she finds out everything that happened, she will be the first to tell Nikki to leave him,” the insider added. Now that the former WWE star has filed the court documents she’s not looking back.

Nikki hoped that counseling would help get them to a healthier place,” the Life & Style source shared. “She didn’t want to break the family up, but then Artem crossed the line, and now she feels she has no other choice.” Nikki is apparently ready “to end their marriage as quickly and painlessly as possible.” Nikki isn’t the only one who has support, Chigvintsev received warm words of encouragement from his former Dancing With the Stars co-star, Gleb Savchenko.

He will be arraigned on the domestic violence charge on Nov. 4.
