Halle Berry Had Some Major Body Transformations for Her New Movie & Fans Are Applauding Her Commitment

Now that Halle Berry ‘s new thriller, Never Let Go , is out into the world, the actress is showing everyone what it took to get into her complicated character.

On Instagram , the Oscar winner shared some behind-the-scenes of the movie, which is in theaters now. In the first video, Berry’s seen showing off her fake bushy armpit to the camera while chatting with a member of her makeup team. “What’s happening here, Norma?” Berry asks, poking fun at the situation.

Following the video is then a series of mirror selfies from Berry, showing off her bushy armpit again and her ultra-long hair matted hair. She also showed off a style transformation in two other slides with pictures of her in a blond and pink bob, pink bra, denim vest and snakeskin mini-skirt.

In the last slide of the gallery, Berry shows off her abs (and her fake new tattoo!) in a totally nude mirror selfie.

“Momma in the making 🎥,” the actress wrote in the caption. “One of the most complex characters I’ve had the pleasure of embodying. #NeverLetGo is in theaters everywhere!”

In the comments, fans are applauding the actress for committing to her character. “Halle, what I love about you transforming into character, you’re not afraid to not be glamorous all the time,” one user wrote. “You have range and there are other actresses, respectfully, that want to be beautiful all the time, there’s no range at all. Even in a scary movie they want to be sexy and it’s like come on.”

“You, Sandra Bullock and Demi Moore are showing your best work these past few years,” echoed another fan. “Grateful that beautiful women are allowed to be more raw and in your face with it now. Cannot wait to see this.”

Earlier this month, Berry spoke to SheKnows about her character, and how incredible it was to portray a someone who’s so complex.

“I’ve never been someone who’s afraid to play the ugliness of a character or the darkness of a character because that’s inside all of us, we’re all imperfect, right?” she said. “And I’ve never been afraid to lean into those things and that’s what actually makes characters relatable, when we see the truth of something and I love it.”

“I wanted her to be a mom but I wanted her to be a truthful mom in this situation and she had to have some tough love and she had to do things at times that seemed unthinkable but when you think about it, it was really for the greater good of the whole family,” she says.
