Sarah Michelle Gellar Revealed the Girl Mom Moment That Gave Her ‘Street Cred’ From Daughter’s Friends

While we’ve been a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar’s for decades, and think she’s one of the coolest gals in Hollywood, to her kids, she’s mom. And like all moms, you try hard to get some street cred from your kids. Recently, Gellar did get some “street cred” from her daughter and her friends, and the story is so cute.

In a recent interview with People about her partnership with Philosophy, Gellar talked about how she and her daughter Charlotte have been sharing beauty tips, even during a sleepover Charlotte had with her pals.

“It’s funny, it was her birthday, and so she had a sleepover and we are painting our house currently, so all of her girlfriends were in my bathroom,” she said. “It was fun because we were all sharing tips back and forth. I learned from them. They learned from me. Sometimes she tells me, ‘Oh mom, no one does that anymore,’ and then her friends will be like, ‘Well, actually, that’s really good.'”

She added, “I get some street cred from her friends.”

For those who don’t know, Gellar and Prinze met back in 1997 on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer , but didn’t start dating until 2000.

They got engaged in early 2001 and married nearly 18 months later, in Sept 2002. The lovebirds have two children together named Charlotte , born in 2009, and Rocky , born in 2012.

In a previous interview with SheKnows , Gellar talked about how everything changed when she became a mom, saying, “But all of a sudden, in your mind, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you’re worried about these little beings in an incredibly all-consuming, beautiful but stressful way.”
