Prince William knows that the way to Kate Middleton ‘s heart is by getting her a special treat after their kids go to bed, according to one insider.

An insider tells Daily Record that the Princess of Wales’ favorite way to unwind is with a gin and tonic, and William is often the one who makes sure to bring it to her. “William will bring Kate a gin and tonic. They look after each other, but in different ways,” the source revealed.

The outlet previously reported that Middleton’s drink of choice was a pint of Guinness but this new report claims she favors a drink often reported to be Queen Camilla’s go-to alcoholic beverage — though her son recently claimed that was a widespread misconception!

The nightly ritual is one of several subtle signs that the couple, who have been together since 2001 , are still thriving after a challenging couple of years amid William’s feud with Prince Harry, affair allegations and Middleton’s cancer treatment.

Back in July, sources said the couple, who share three children, are doing better than ever . “William and Kate seem like a different couple! They used to be more reserved,” an insider shared with Us Weekly after the pair stepped out at the Trooping the Color. “But now, they can’t help but look at each other and smile.”

“William was grateful to have Kate there, and it meant a lot to Charles too,” the source added.

The Prince and Princess of Wales also proved their love was stronger than ever during a PDA-filled video they shared to announce that Middleton had finished her cancer treatment.

“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family,” Middleton said in the video as images of the royal family appeared on the screen. “Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown. The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.”

The video offered a rare look at the bond between the couple who have consistently put on a show of solidarity in the face of challenges.
