Beyoncé Teared Up While Supporting Her Mom During a Rare Outing

After watching her daughters take over the music world in sold-out shows and star-studded award shows, Beyoncé and Solange ‘s mom Tina Knowles got her time to shine at the Glamour Women of the Year event on Oct. 8. Being honored alongside other famous moms Donna Kelce , Selena Gomez’s mom Mandy Teefey and Billie Eilish’s mom Maggie Baird, Knowles gave a tear-jerking acceptance speech that left no dry eye in the house.

“My daughters have brought me such incredible joy and pride in my life, far more than anything else,” Knowles said, per Glamour . “They are my crew, my tribe, my rocks, my ride-or-dies. They’ve been right there by my side at the lowest points of my life and have cheered me on at the highest points of my life making me feel like I could conquer anything.”

In the now-viral TikToks of the speech, the camera pans to Beyoncé in the audience, who’s seen getting teary-eyed and wiping away her tears as her mom speaks.

“I am asked most often ‘What is the proudest moment you’ve had with your daughters?’ and my answer is always the same,” she said. “What I’m most proud of is the human beings that they are, how they have managed to stay humble, grounded, generous, gracious and kind, and how they managed to put it all into their art.”

“I’ve been so blessed in my life to do many things,” she continued. “I’ve had many careers, but I’ve always said that the best job that I’ve ever had is being a mother.”

In addition to Beyoncé and Solange, Knowles also helped raise her niece Angela Beyincé and fellow Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland (who were also in attendance). “I’ve been so blessed in my life to do many things. I’ve had many careers but I’ve always said that the best job I’ve ever had is being a mother. I’ve had the privilege of raising and helping to raise four daughters,” she said, with her voice cracking with emotion. “Two that were born to me and two that were a gift to me from God.”

“You know, I was somewhat of a rebellious teen and a young adult and I didn’t always follow the rules, but the day that I became a mother, I decided that this was one thing that I wouldn’t screw up,” Knowles admitted. Knowing her daughters were right by her side cheering her on last night, it’s safe to say she never did!

Prior to the acceptance speech, Knowles raved about her daughters in a sit-down interview with Glamour . “There are so many proud moments, and it might sound cliché, but it’s the truest statement I could ever make: I’m the most proud when they do something that is artful that they love, but that also has good repercussions on the world,” she said, echoing some of her sentiments from the speech. “I can’t stop smiling. After a while, you get kind of used to the big moments, but those kinds of moments are really, really different.”

“I’m proud to say that I do see the things that I instilled in them—treat people well, do not get stuck on yourself—because we had some moments where I was like, ‘Listen, they can pick up their own suitcases,’ ‘You look people in the eye, say hello, don’t turn into a diva. That’s not going to work here,'” she remembered. “You have to teach your kids that. So I’m most proud when they’re good people.” Looks like her daughters are just as proud of her too!
