It’s not uncommon for celebrities to flit between multiple homes, looking to escape the grind of Hollywood. However, it seems that more and more stars are considering a more definitive departure from the entertainment capital. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have allegedly been considering the move for months , Tom Cruise is reportedly ready to “have another child” abroad , and now, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are also considering a permanent hop across the pond.

The push for this major change comes as Kutcher deals with backlash over his past connections . “Ashton’s so exasperated that once again he’s being dragged through the mud because of his past associations,” an insider told InTouch Weekly .
His link to Danny Masterson, who was convicted of rape, and Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently in jail while his lawyer seeks house arrest as he awaits his May 2025 trial, has left Kutcher questioning Hollywood’s value. “First it was Danny Masterson and now it’s Diddy, and it’s got him convinced that there are way better places out there to live than Hollywood. In his view the town is just a cesspool at this point.”
Kunis and Kutcher, among the many celebrities who attended Taylor Swift’s London shows during her Eras tour over the summer, seemed to appreciate what they saw beyond the performances in London.
“They had such a great time in Europe and in many ways the idea of moving there is topping their list right now because they figure that would be such a great place to live and raise their kids with a much more grounded lifestyle,” the source continued. Yet, managing their careers from overseas remains a hurdle. “The only thing stopping them from making the move is work because they do still have a lot of business interests in the U.S. so the concern is that Europe may be too far away.”
The two are reportedly also considering Northern California, which would allow them to stay Stateside without staying in the thick of Hollywood.
“Northern California is very appealing to Ashton because he loves to be around all the tech entrepreneurs and it’s somewhere they could give their kids a more normal life,” the insider notes. At the heart of their decision is a desire to distance their family from Hollywood’s spotlight. “They’ve just had it with Hollywood and just going up to Montecito isn’t enough of a clean break, they’d like to get much further away.”
Ultimately, whether they choose the tech vibes of Northern California or the quaint allure of Europe, it seems Kutcher and Kunis are eager to escape the Hollywood glare — though some might say they’re just trying to outrun the shadows of their own making.
