(Omaha) A Flood Watch is in effect from 7:00 this (Monday) evening through Tuesday morning for Audubon, Guthrie, Cass, Adair, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Pottawattamie and Shelby Counties.

The National Weather Service says flooding caused by excessive rainfall from thunderstorms is possible. Thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall will move across the watch area this evening into early Tuesday morning. Some locations will experience multiple rounds of thunderstorms. Widespread rainfall amounts of an inch or more are likely, with some localized areas receiving up to 3 to 5 inches.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
