Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service - Shelby County will host a 4-H Kids Sew Frenzy Day Camp in Center July 17 - 19. The Day Camp is open to all youth ages 9 through 18, beginner and advanced, with or without experience using a sewing machine. Hours will be 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Being a member of 4-H is not required to participate.

Participants will learn how to use a sewing machine and make a lap quilt to showcase in the upcoming Poultry Festival Creative Arts Show.

The cost is $25 per child and the class is limited to 10 students.

Sewing machines and fabric for quilt fronts will be provided for the participants. You may also bring your own machine, if desired.

Grandmothers, moms and other adults willing to help with re-threading and other small sewing tasks are encouraged to attend the classes with participants (sewing experience not required).
