OMAHA, Neb. – After tasting defeat for the first time in 2024, fourth-ranked Concordia got back to Bulldog Volleyball on Saturday (Aug. 31) and emerged from Omaha, Neb., with a pair of wins. Two-time All-American Gabi Nordaker hit a smoldering .567 for the day as the Bulldogs celebrated a win over No. 5 Viterbo University (Wis.), 22-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-18, and a victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State University (Okla.). The matches were played as part of the College of Saint Mary Labor Day Classic.
Slow start leads to season's first defeat in road clash with No. 10 Columbia
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The degree of difficulty ramped up several notches on Saturday (Aug. 31) as the Concordia University Women’s Soccer team took on a Columbia College program that reached the NAIA national tournament second round in 2023. Though the result was a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the 10th-ranked Cougars of Columbia, Mo., the Bulldogs actually showed progress in a number of areas compared to their 4-2 win from three days earlier. Concordia settled in after a slow start on Saturday – but it had dug too large of a hole.
Bulldogs and No. 17 Cougars remain deadlocked after 90 minutes
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Goals were at a premium between No. 17 Columbia University (Mo.) and Concordia Men’s Soccer on Saturday night (Aug. 31). The two teams found themselves in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes at R. Marvin Owens Field. After three games, the Bulldogs are 1-0-2 and the program’s regular season unbeaten streak has reached 29 games (21-0-8 in that stretch dating back to 2022).
