SHELL LAKE — The Shell Lake Public Library’s Silent Book Club’s July meeting is Monday, July 15, from 4 to 5 p.m. Silent Book Club is for adults who enjoy reading and are enthusiastic about discussing books and authors with other individuals who are passionate about reading.

Shell Lake Public Library provides snacks and refreshments. We dedicate the first half hour of Book Club discussing recent reads. The second half is left for reading in the library or continuing in engaging discussion — typically, it is the latter. Silent Book Club meets once a month.

Touch-a-Truck is expanding! Join us in the parking lot behind Shell Lake Public Library for a Touch-a-Truck Block Party Tuesday, July 16, from noon to 2 p.m. We will be joined by the Shell Lake Police Department, Shell Lake Fire Department and the City of Shell Lake. The Friends of the Shell Lake Public Library will be selling walking tacos for a free-will donation. We are excited to welcome back face painter Hope. Chalk and yard games will also be available.

Friday July 19, from 3 to 5 p.m., we will have a teen game night at Shell Lake Public Library! Board games and card games will be available. Additionally, the Wii will be set up. Teens are welcome to bring their favorite game. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Any teens signed up in the summer reading program will receive an extra entry in the grand drawing for attending game night. RSVP to the library for this fun AODA game night!
