We are only a month or so into the school year, and there has been at least one school shooting. Because of that, the schools are trying to stay on top of any threats and anything else that could be considered suspicious. They just want to make sure that it is safe for all children at school.

For this reason, I have gotten a call almost every day last week about a non-credible threat. The schools had police presence at least one or two days last week.

I was seriously thinking about keeping my children home from school at least one or two days last week. I don't think that I was the only one who felt this way. I just want to make sure that my children are safe.

I thought things were getting better. We had a quiet week, but then yesterday, I got a call about another non-credible threat. Here we go again!

I mean I guess that I am glad that the school is letting us know about all of these threats, but I am really not sure if I am. Do I really need to know about every little thing that doesn't end up being anything? But I can see parents being mad if they found out that the school knew something and didn't share it with them. I know that the schools are in a tough spot and have to be as transparent as possible.

I guess we will see what happens over the next few weeks. I wish I could homeschool my kids in order to make sure that they were safe.
