In the small town of Tucker, Vermont, life seems perfect. Paige Pfeiffer works hard as a pediatrician with three other doctors who are like family. She spends time helping at the local hospital, leaving little time for anything else. She is happy to go home in the evenings and spend time relaxing by herself.

But when her best friend, Mara O’Neill, commits suicide, the whole town is affected. Mara would do anything for anyone, and nobody could imagine that she was unhappy, at least unhappy enough to end it all!

Paige’s life completely shatters. She thought that she knew her friend, but did she really know what happened when Mara was alone at night? Then, Mara’s adopted daughter shows up in town, and Paige knows that she has to take her in for Mara’s sake.

Paige also finds herself drawn to a man in a way that she never thought possible. But when the daughter finds a new adoptive family and her man moves on with her life, what is Paige going to want? Is she going to be able to go back to her quiet life?

Just like any other Delinsky novels, Suddenly will pull you in and not let you go! You will just have to see how Paige (and the whole town) holds up when life changes in an instant!
