A book review of Promises to Keep by Jane Green.

Five years after beating breast cancer, Callie Perry feels like she has the best life. She adores her husband, which isn't the case for many people who have been married as long as she has been. She has two adorable children who mean everything to her. She is a successful photographer, working when her children are in school (and bed)!

The same can't be said for her sister and best friend. Her best friend Lila has finally found love, but she is stuck dealing with his ex-wife. Her sister Steffi has quit another job to move to another place to start over! Even worse, her divorced parents can't stand to be anywhere near each other - and this is after years of being divorced!

But when Callie is diagnosed with another cancer, everything changes. Her family and friends rally around her as she fights to go into the hardest battle of her life!

I didn't know what I was getting into when I picked up this book by Jane Green. I was just looking for a heartwarming and easy read by one of my favorite authors. However, this one hit home a little too close since I lost a good friend over the summer to cancer. That being said, you can never go wrong with a Jane Green book. She is a wonderful author with great stories to tell!
