Borralho, 31, enters the Octagon on the strength of a 13-fight winning streak. The Fighting Nerds rep last appeared at UFC 301, where he punched out former British Association of Mixed Martial Arts champion Paul Craig in the second round of their May 4 pairing. Borralho has secured nine of his 16 career victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission. Cannonier, meanwhile, has won seven of his past 10 bouts. The 40-year-old MMA Lab export last suited up on June 8, when he succumbed to punches from Nassourdine Imavov in their UFC on ESPN 57 confrontation. It was Cannonier’s first knockout loss in more than six years and intensified water-cooler talk that perhaps his best days were indeed behind him.

UFC on ESPN 62 also features “The Ultimate Fighter 32” middleweight final matching Robert Valentin (-165) with Ryan Loder (+135), “The Ultimate Fighter 32” featherweight final pitting Mairon Santos (-180) against Kaan Ofli (+150), a welterweight showcase pairing Michael Morales (-750) with Neil Magny (+475) and a middleweight attraction slotting Edmen Shahbazyan (-300) opposite Gerald Meerschaert (+225).
