Cheesy Italian Garlic Bread Recipe: Easy and Delicious!

    2024-07-30

This bread is one of my favorite go to's when I need a fast side for a dinner I have prepared. It is really simple to make and it cooks up in no time. You will need the following ingredients:

    Recipe:

    1 loaf of italian bread

    4 tablespoons of butter

    1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1/2 cup of cheese (I used colby jack and romano cheeses)

    Preheat the oven to broil.

Slice the loaf of italian bread in half length ways and place the bread on a large baking sheet.

Soften the butter by the microwave or by sitting it out for an hour before preparing this bread.

Spread the butter over all of the bread and then sprinkle the garlic powder on it.

Add the cheese makinf sure to cover the bread evenly. You can use whatever cheese you have that melts.

Place the bread in the oven and watch it carefully so it does not burn. It should take around 3 - 5 minutes for the bread to get golden brown and the cheese to melt.

Remove from the oven and slice into individual pieces. Enjoy!

Note: If you are not a fan of the cheese bread you can leave it off and just add some parsley flakes for color.

Tip: If you happen to be out of butter you can add mayo instead and this will make a really delicious bread as mayo has a lot of oil in it.

I like to serve this cheesy bread on the side of spaghetti, grilled steaks or chicken, or sometimes I serve it along side a salad and that is our dinner for the night.

I would replace garlic powder with finely chopped garlic.
