Hamburger Steak Recipe: Easy, Affordable, and Delicious!

I was making my family a hamburger steak tonight for dinner and I was at a loss on whether to share this recipe with you or not. I know this is a really simple recipe to make and a lot of you know how to cook this but I am guessing some don't. This recipe is a favorite of ours. Most of our local mom and pop restaurants serve this up in our area. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:

1 pound of ground chuck

1 onion

1 bell pepper

longhorn seasoning (my recipe linked below)

salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon of oil

Preheat a large skillet to medium high heat and add the oil.

Patty out the ground chuck into 3 patties and make them about 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick.

Add the seasoning to the hamburger steaks and then place them into the hot skillet, seasoned side down.

Season the other side.

Cut up the onion and bell pepper into bite size pieces.

When the steak have been cooking for about 8 minutes and are almost cooked through add the vegetables and season them also.

Cook the hamburger steak done and the vegetables until they are as soft as you like them. Enjoy!

Note: You could add some mushrooms or brown gravy to this hamburger steak if you wish but everyone around here serves it with onions and peppers on the side.

I like to serve this hamburger steak with a side of homemade coleslaw and some french fries. A-1 isn't a bad addition to it either.
