Oreo Brownie Trifle Recipe: Easy and Delicious!

This trifle recipe is such a delicious and simple dessert that is perfect to take on family gatherings, social gatherings or just for your family bbq. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:

1 box of brownie mix (you can make homemade if you prefer)

1 egg

1/3 cup of oil

1/4 cup of water

I small package of instant chocolate pudding mix

15 oreo cookies, crushed

1/4 cup of powdered sugar

2 tablespoons of cream cheese, room temperature

1 1 /2 cups of heavy whipping cream

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium bowl stir together the egg, oil and water then add the brownie mix. Pour the brownie mix into a 9 x 9 baking dish and bake for 30 - 35 minutes, or until the brownies are cooked through.

Let the brownies cool to room temperature.

In a medium bowl add the heavy whipping cream and beat this with a mixer until stiff peaks are formed.

Add the room temperature cream cheese and the powdered sugar and mix until it is smooth.

In a small bowl mix the pudding mix according to the directions. Let sit until it is thick. Tip: You can refrigerate this, just place a piece of plastic wrap touching the surface of the pudding to keep it from forming a film.

I made my trifles in individual glasses but you could make this using a large trifle bowl too.

Layer a layer of oreos and brownies on the bottom of the glasses then add a layer of pudding, whipped cream mixture and repeat these layers one more time. Place an oreo cookie on the top of the whipped cream for garnish. Enjoy!

Note: You can play around with these flavors and make several different types of trifles, including a lemon one.

I like to serve this as a dessert to my family after dinner.
