Streator man fatally injured Sunday southwest of Ransom
A Streator man fatally injured in a single vehicle rollover near Ransom Sunday has been identified. La Salle County Coroner Rich Ploch said 26-year old Jesus Villafana's car rolled his vehicle at East 24th and North 14th road. He was the only occupant. A autopsy conducted Monday indicated Villafana died from injuries in the accident.
Driver Killed In Sunday's Abe Lincoln Bridge Crash Identified
If you've been following the story of a man who was pulled out of the Illinois River on Sunday after a rollover crash, he's been identified. The coroner's office says 36-year-old John Smith of Streator died Sunday. He was driving northbound on Interstate 39 at around 5:30 Sunday morning when for unknown reasons, he lost control of his Jeep. It rolled on the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Bridge between Oglesby and La Salle. Smith was ejected and was thrown into the Illinois River.

An unidentified male was lifeflighted Sunday after an accident in South Ottawa. About 3pm, Ottawa police responded to an accident site on Route 71, just west of the Route 23 intersection.
