Walsh Spoils West Liberty Season Opener
WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – An opportunistic Walsh University football team scored two special teams touchdowns and forced three turnovers to spoil West Liberty's season opener with a 42-21 road win under the Thursday night lights at West Family Stadium. The Cavaliers bolted out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and the hosts couldn't battle all the way back. West Liberty actually held a 275-266 edge in total offense but negated that advantage with 21 penalties for 139 yards.

Ryan Horn, a West Virginia native with nearly 20 years of experience, has been appointed as the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning for Men’s Basketball at West Virginia University.
